“Curse Of The Golden Scarab” is part, “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” comedy, exotic intrigue of, “The Mummy” and the action-packed pace of, “Indiana Jones.”
This 3D Live Action/Animated hybrid is the story of one typical American family who end up on an unbelievable rollercoaster ride that forces them from the comfort of their suburban lives to the exotic land of the Pharaohs, mummies and an ancient curse about to be unleashed on all of Egypt. Only they hold the key to stopping it from happening.
Life will never be the same for the Moore family. With single mom off on a book signing tour, she’s left her dad to care for her two teenage sons and ten-year old daughter. It doesn’t take long for things to go from crazy to, never-in-their-wildest-dreams when an Egyptian, gold scarab artifact is mysteriously shipped to them. Opening the scarab unleashes a swarm of insects who sting them, turning them all into insects and forcing them to undercover the secrets of Queen Kephera, the ancient Egyptian ruler of the insect world. Entombed thousands of years ago for her tyrannical obsession to rule all of Egypt with her vast army of deadly insects, she is on the doorstep of being reawakened.
The golden scarab holds many mysteries; a map of riddles and the true purpose of one special gold key. Most importantly, the scarab will reveal one family member’s secret past and how it connects them all to what will happen.
As
they learn how to survive as insects, they discover secret tombs that come
alive, vanishing pyramids, zombie-like locust that rise up from the Egyptian
desert and the seemingly unstoppable force of a reawakened, Queen Kephera. With
her legion of bugs behind her, she will battle the Moore family as they try to
stop her, and hopefully, break the curse that has turned them into insects and
return them to their normal lives back in suburbia.
